When and where do I need to check-in?
Check In: 30 minutes before departure Check in Location: 1666 Duranleau St (Granville Island). The tour will depart from Prince of Whales Adventure Center located on Granville Island in Vancouver, next to Ten Thousand Villages store, opposite the yellow building of Bridges restaurant. Do not forget to bring a Government Issued ID and the credit card used at the time of booking.
Can I store my belongings somewhere safe during the tour?
Backpacks, purses and other personal belongings can be stored in locked storage bins on shore during the tour.
Are whale sightings guaranteed?
This adventure is covered by our Year-Round Whale Sightings Guarantee. If we won't see whales, you can join us on another tour, free of charge, at any point in the future.
What should I wear?
Please dress warmly. Wear closed toe shoes, long pants, warm sweater and a jacket that will block the wind. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a plastic bag to protect your electronics. You may get wet.
Are strollers and other large items allowed?
Strollers are not allowed onboard. Larger items can be stored in the Prince of Whales office on shore during the tour.
What is the cancellation policy?
The Prince of Whales cancellation policy states that “all cancellations made after 48 hours or ‘no-shows’ will be subject to the full charge of the fare.”
Where can I refill my re-usable water bottle before the the trip?
Prince of Whales has a water bottle filling station in the main office & on the Catamarans, please remember to bring your reusable water bottles to reduce waste.
Can I smoke or drink alcohol on the boat?
Passengers are not allowed to smoke (cigarettes, vapes, cigars), or consume alcohol or drugs while onboard the vessels.
What is the capacity per vessel?
The Catamaran can hold up to 95 passengers.
