On which days does the tour operate?
Big Bus Sydney operates daily. Check for updates on the Big Bus Sydney Service Information page or the Big Bus Tours app for any unexpected closures.
What is the child ticketing policy?
A child ticket is available for children between the ages of 3–15. Children under 3 may travel free of charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16.
Do I need to specify a date for travel?
Yes. You’ll need to select your travel date when booking. However, if your plans change, your ticket may still be valid for a flexible period — please check the details on your voucher.
Are buses wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The lower decks of all Sydney Big Bus vehicles are wheelchair accessible with ramps at boarding areas. Each bus has space for one wheelchair (not mobility scooters). The total weight of the passenger, assistant, and mobility aid must not exceed 300 kg (660 lb), and the wheelchair must fit within the designated area. To confirm compatibility, please contact Big Bus Tours via the website or app before your trip.
Day Tour Departure Times
The first tour departs at 9:00 am from Stop 1 (Circular Quay). Buses run every 30–40 minutes until 3:30 pm, depending on the season. You can start your tour at any of the 23 Big Bus stops, including popular locations such as Stop 8 (Sydney Opera House) and Stop 22 (Sydney Harbour Bridge). How do I activate my digital ticket?
Download the Big Bus Tours app, add your booking, and tap ‘Activate’ on the day of your tour to start using your ticket.

Commentary is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Mandarin, Korean and Japanese.
Do I need an internet connection to use my ticket?
No. Once activated, your digital ticket works offline—but keep your phone charged.

There are 15 stops on the City Tour (Red Route) and 8 on the Bondi Tour (Blue Route).
